Must-See Craft Festivals in Lancaster PA

Craft festivals in Lancaster, PA are one of the best reasons to visit Pennsylvania Dutch Country beyond its rolling farmland, Amish heritage, and covered bridges.

Throughout the year, Lancaster County hosts nationally recognized art festivals and juried craft shows where visitors can browse handcrafted pottery, fine art, woodworking, jewelry, textiles, and artisan foods while enjoying live music, local wineries, and charming small towns.

Here are some of the best craft festivals in Lancaster, PA.

Rotary Club of Lititz Craft Show

If you're only able to attend one craft festival in Lancaster County, make it the Rotary Club of Lititz Craft Show.

What began in 1979 with a handful of local artisans displaying their work along a single block of East Main Street has grown into one of the largest and most respected outdoor craft festivals on the East Coast.

Today, the festival welcomes more than 550 juried crafters from throughout the United States and Canada while drawing approximately 50,000 visitors to downtown Lititz the second Saturday in August from 8 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.

The event stretches along East Main Street and Broad Street, creating block after block of handcrafted artwork and artisan goods.

Visitors will discover an impressive variety of handcrafted goods, from hand-thrown pottery and original paintings to fine photography, woodworking, glass art, handmade jewelry, quilts, textiles, leather goods, and metalwork. Many artisans also offer handcrafted soaps, candles, gourmet specialty foods, seasonal décor, and one-of-a-kind home accents, making it easy to find a unique keepsake or gift.

Not to mention, one of the best parts of attending the festival is exploring Lititz itself. Frequently recognized as one of America's most charming small towns, Lititz offers boutique shopping, coffee shops, bakeries, historic architecture, and restaurants.

Long's Park Art Festival

Every Labor Day Weekend, Long's Park transforms into one of the country's premier outdoor art festivals.

Since 1979, the Long's Park Art Festival has welcomed thousands of visitors from across the Mid-Atlantic to browse artwork from more than 200 carefully selected juried artists representing communities throughout the United States.

Unlike traditional craft fairs, the Long's Park Art Festival places a special emphasis on fine art while still celebrating exceptional craftsmanship. Visitors can purchase original works directly from nationally recognized artists working in a wide variety of mediums, including paintings, ceramics, sculpture, glass art, photography, mixed-media pieces, fine jewelry, fiber arts, and contemporary crafts. The opportunity to meet artists, learn about their creative process, and purchase work directly from the people who made it is part of what makes the festival so memorable.

The festival began as a fundraiser supporting Long's Park's beloved Summer Music Series. Today, proceeds from the Art Festival continue helping provide free concerts throughout the summer, making every purchase support local arts programming.

If you're visiting Lancaster over Labor Day Weekend, this festival belongs at the top of your itinerary. You may purchase tickets in advance here.

Held at Roots Country Market in nearby Manheim, the organization hosts multiple shows throughout the year, including its annual Spring Show and its popular two-day Labor Day Weekend event. The next show is the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
